THE NEW NORMAL

"We sense that ‘normal’ isn’t coming back, that we are being born into a new normal:  a new kind of society, a new relationship to the earth, a new experience of being human."

~ Charles Eisenstein

The world has been shaken by the Covid-19 pandemic, a situation that is affecting the lives of countless communities, families, and students. Although the pandemic caused by COVID-19 can be considered a threat to all members of society, it is not insignificant. that students are more severely affected by the perspectives developed, environmental and institutional barriers associated with responding to COVID-19.  Schools and government agencies have different ways of responding to the situation. Some schools have suspended classes, moved online, and others have ended the school year. One way to look at it is to mix online classes and physical discussion within a classroom. But while the threat of the coronavirus is still large, we can be sure that the internet will play a big role in the new school year.

Moving on to personal offerings instruction is committed to providing access to quality first aid instruction to all students. With the same instruction offered, SUSD is committed to providing opportunities for students to participate in live audible discussions at the same time doing so, in their homes and in the physical classroom through a variety of technical support in conjunction with systems in learning management such as Google Classroom, and as a result, provides opportunities for students who are at a distance and personal learning to collaborate with their classmates and have access to quality initial instruction provided by staff at teaching.

In the transition to offering personal tutoring, the main focus will be on measures for health and safety. In times when all students are part of distance learning a personal teaching model, teaching staff will support student participation by sending expectations in Google Classroom, links to assignments, learning support resources, collaboration with other teachers using student data in instructional planning, offering office hours when students can be interviewed and family, and support for small groups and individuals for students with special needs. In this process, all districts, states, and counties ensure the health safety of students, staff, and families.

Students also have problems such as Students cannot concentrate on learning, Multiple tools emerge due to students’ isolation, Countless resources are shared without a step-by-step guide as to how they should be used, Parents plan daily activities but do not work on innovative educational practices at home, Families struggle daily trying to balance work and education at home, Students are uncertain about the possible closure of the academic year, Teachers and families lack resources to deal with the uncertainties posed by the pandemic, Teachers are having to face the challenges of digitalization without the requisite training, There are difficulties in maintaining a positive relationship between parents and students, and Learning based on the collaborative play is also a challenge online.
